James is centre of the front row in the white shirt and big smile!
Local boy James Campbell-Wynter year 5 at Christchurch Junior School came an amazing 3rd at the National boys U11’s, which took place at Hallamshire Squash and Tennis club, Sheffield, at the weekend.
James who was seeded outside of the top 10 performed to his full capability, beating seeds above him, by the end of 4 hard matches on Saturday he was into the semi!
He then came up against the number 2 seed Ben Parlour, who was a step too far, but in the play-offs for 3rd/4th he convincingly beat Joseph Royle 3-0, securing a 3rd place in the whole country!
Coach and Dad commented “You always train to improve on weaknesses from your last tournament, it seems it just all came together for this big one! I’m just absolutely over the moon for him”
