Dorset ran out easy winners against a Kent team weakened through injury and unavailability of players as a result of imminent exams. As such they could only field four players. Despite this the Dorset girls played well with good performances from all four. Justine's strength and racket skills moved Alice Griffin around the court and forced errors. Kirsty had a close match against Anna Davies but a few errors in the third game letting Anna back in after Kirsty went two up. She nearly closed it out in the fourth but held her nerve to win the fifth comfortably. Jenny's power was too much for Laura Savage and she pushed her to the back of the court taking the opportunity to cut off returns with attacking volleys. A good win. Lara rallied well against Alice Davidson Richards and they both managed to retrieve and attack to make some exciting points. Lara's speed of movement around the court, accuracy of return and volleying proved the difference between the two.

A tough match against strong opponents and some close games going to 10 all and above though the match result does not show it. Katherine played through breathing difficulties and lost three very close games against Charlotte Humphreys. Kirsty's opponent, Beth Downie, was too strong and consistent which forced Kirsty to play recovery squash rather being able to control the game. Justine played a really good game, deservedly winning the first game off her opponent, Georgie Gard. She put so much into the first game that the subsequent games were hard work and although she played well, she went down in four. Lara put up a fight against Anna Kimberley whose shot range and tightness of drives and drops took their toll and although Lara nearly took the third Anna was always in front. Jenny fought well but lost in three in close games to Emma Payne who retrieved and coped well with Jenny's power game.
