Idiots guide to updating the Website 24-09-2007

To enter Results:
You must be registered as a club official to do this.
Logon using your TOP id Click MY CLUBS (in red letters top right)
From the your home page
Either
Click RESULTS TO ENTER (this will show all the outstanding results for your club)
or 
Click your club nameClick LEAGUES & CUPS on the red bar
On the dark red bar select the competition that you want from the drop down list where it says SELECT
Click your team (e.g. Team 1)
Click EDIT for the match that you want to enter the result
Select the players for both teams from the drop down list and then click UPDATE PLAYERS
Enter the results for each match and click UPDATE RESULT
The result is now entered into the system 

Unspecified Players:
If a player isn’t specified in the drop down list the name will be UNSPECIFIED, in which case the new player needs to be added to the system.The home team captain entering the result can add players for his/her own club (see below), but cannot do so for the away team.

To let the away team know that they have ‘new’ players to be added to the system:
From the home page, Click CLUBS on the red bar
Click the club in your want to send a message to
Click on the person that you want to send a message to
Complete the two boxes with the info required and click SEND MESSAGE 

To add new members to your club (only Club Officials can do this):
From the home page
Logon using your TOP id Click MY CLUBS (in red letters top right)
Click your club nameClick MEMBERS on the red barIn the ADD MEMBER box
Tick the box if the person does not already have a TOP id
Complete the FIRST NAME and LAST NAME boxesClick ADD MEMBER 

If you have already entered a result and have unspecified players that have now been added to the system you can go back and edit the result again and now the new players should appear on the drop down list. 

To set someone up as an Official for a club (e.g. a Team Captain)
From the home pageLogon using your TOP id
Click MY CLUBS (in red letters top right)
Click your club nameClick MEMBERS on the red bar
Click on the person that you want to amend
Add their e-mail address
Click the box by Official
Put a role in the JOB ROLE box, e.g. Capt - 1st Team
Click SAVE CHANGES
Click SEND LOGON DETAILS (you can only do this if you have entered an e-mail address)

To make your contact details available
All club officials should do this to ensure other clubs/teams can contact them.
See the section above re making someone a club official.
Once someone is a club official, e.g. a team captain, they should add their contact details to their profile, to do this:
Click MY HOME
Click MAIN DETAILS on the top red bar
Ensure that your details and your e-mail address is correct
Next to "Who can see my telephone numbers and address" - select PUBLIC from the drop down list.
Add your contact phone numbers (I would suggest that you DON'T add your address)
Lastly click the UPDATE button to save the changes
On the HOME page, click CLUBS on the top red bar and then click your club. You should now see your details displayed.
